Hild began her career making smooth ceramic vessels building clay into thin and fragile forms whose organic appearances belie their handcrafted nature. In july of 2019 hild completed her first major outdoor commission in the united states for alfred university. Her works may be described as elegant topological forms that are reminiscent of minimal surfaces since the surfaces basically have a hyperbolic geometry.
