In my bmw i always use brembo ate rotors and pagid pads over the years. Made in mexico so i suspect it was made by brmebo because brembo rotors are made in mexico too 2 yr warranty no questions asked. Typically we want a machined metal surface with enough roughness to help the pads break in and seat correctly.
